The Youth Ministry was formed in December 2005.  Our mission is to help the youth discover their calling, be made whole; and equip them to do the work of God through New Direction Community of Love Church.   We are also committed to building strong young leaders and equipping them to be true disciples and ambassadors of Christ who will fulfill the Great Commission and go into the community to labor through various church and city outreaches.  Whole Armor of God Youth Ministry strives to prepare our youth to become godly leaders who will make an impact on our society both now and in the

YOUTH IMPACT MINISTRY

(Sie Allen Scholarship Fund)

Youth Impact Ministries began as a vehicle to enhance and supplement our Annual School Supply Distribution and Sie Allen Scholarship Fund.  Youth Impact Ministries focuses on creating a support system that will motivate our youth and young adults to continue their education all the way through college. In addition to love, support, and encouragement, we believe that every child deserves an opportunity to obtain a good education. It is our endeavor to impact each child with the positive guidance and strong direction required to develop career-oriented individuals who will become “successful and productive” members of our society!!!

PRAISE TEAM

Minister Treson Allen, Director

New Direction COLC Praise Team was formed in 2006 and is honored to serve the congregation through praise and worship.  Driven by love, we set aside time each week to commune in worship and fellowship to be prepared for Sunday worship or any other engagement.  The minstrel of music has led this team with songs that create an atmosphere for the people of God to engage in a true worship and set the stage for healing, deliverance and salvation to take place as the Word of God comes forth.

Also, we have served the community via outreach in the prisons with the No More Bondage Prison Ministry, the rehabilitation center for the elderly with the Men of Integrity Ministry and with the children/parents of the Ronald McDonald House with the Repairer of the Breach Outreach Ministries.  The New Direction COLC Praise Team has taken the worship beyond the four walls of the church to exemplify in worship “The Place Where Love Never Fails… I Cor 13:4-8(a).”

Warriors of Worship Praise Dance Ministry

Warriors of Worship Praise Dance Ministry(WOW) was founded in 2007 to enhance the New Direction worship experience. The mission and purpose of WOW is primarily to glorify God by creating a spirit-filled atmosphere that compels and prepares the Body of Christ to move beyond the chaos of daily life directly to the throne of God. WOW strives to encourage those who are broken-hearted, burdened and lost to move into position to be exhorted.  Warriors of Worship Praise Dance Ministry looks forward to the future in its continuing effort to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 149:3, “Let them praise his name in the dance…”

Drama Team Ministry

The Drama Ministry uses all talents and gifts of those persons whom God has granted the abilities to act, walk, dance, poetry and/or sing with a willing spirit and heart to convey the message of the gospel for evangelizing to believers as well as unbelievers.
